; │ Sample CLEANQWK Configuration File │
; └────────────────────────────────────────┘
;
;
; Comments
; ========
;
; A semicolon is used to indicate the start of a comment. If it appears
; at the start of a line, the whole line is ignored. It can also be used
; after a command, to clarify the action. Blank lines in the configuration
; file are simply ignored.
;
;
;
; Commands
; ========
;
; Each configuration setting is defined by one entry in the file, of the
; form "Command=Value". The commands are generally case-insensitive, so
; you can enter them in CAPITALS, small letters, or Any CombInation.
; Commands may be entered in any order in the file.
;
;
;
; Multiple Configurations
; =======================
;
; When CLEANQWK is started, it looks for a CLEANQWK.CFG file in the current
; directory. If one is found, then that configuration is used for the run.
; If no CLEANQWK.CFG file is found in the current directory, then CLEANQWK
; looks for a CLEANQWK.CFG file in the directory containing CLEANQWK.EXE.
; You can therefore select from multiple configurations by having different
; current directories when processing packages from different boards, etc.
;
;
; Logging
; =======
;
; Logging is controlled by two commands, Log and Logfile.
;
; Log = N(one) tells the program not to produce a log file.
; Log = O(verwrite) tells the program to create a new log file, or to
; overwrite the log file if it already exists
; Log = A(ppend) tells the program to append the log for this run to
; an existing log file. If no log file exists, then
; one will be created.
;
; If Log = Overwrite or Log = Append is specified, you may specify the name
; of the log file to be used with the Logfile command. The format is:-
; Logfile = <file name>
; where <file name> can be either a simple file name (in which case it will
; be created in the current directory), or a full path name, such as:-
; Logfile = c:\mydir\cleanup.log
; Note: Specified directories must exist; the program will not create them.
;
Log = Append ; default: append to existing log file
Logfile = cleanqwk.log ; default: file "cleanqwk.log" in current directory
;
; Backup Files
; ============
;
; Specifying Backup = Y(es) will tell the program to create a backup copy
; of the original QWK packet, before making any changes. The name of the
; backup file will be the same as the original file, with extension .BAK.
; If Backup = N(o) is specified, no backup will be made.
;
Backup = Yes ; default is "Make Backup Files"
;
; .NDX Files
; ==========
;
; Specifying Ndxfiles = Y(es) will cause the program to create index (.NDX)
; files, regardless of whether or not any .NDX files were included in the
; original QWK packet.
; You can use this feature to speed up your download by configuring the
; mail door not to download .NDX files.
; if Ndxfiles = N(o), the "massaged" packet will contain no .NDX files, and
; it will be left to your mail reader program to build its own indexes.
;
Ndxfiles = Yes ; default is "Create Index Files"
;
; Duplicate Messages
; ==================
;
; Beginners often forget to delete their REP files and end up posting the
; same message more than once.
; Advanced users who have news items that they think will be of interest
; in more than one newsgroup may post the same message to more than one
; newsgroup.
; Either way, you may end up with multiple copies of the same message in
; your packet.
; CLEANQWK can delete all copies of any message already found in the QWK
; packet if requested to do so, so that you only need to read the message
; once. To enable this option, specify:-
; Duplicates = Kill
; If you don't want duplicate messages to be deleted, specify:-
; Duplicates = Ignore
;
Duplicates = Kill ; default: kill all duplicates
;
; Which internet/Usenet header lines to retain
; ============================================
;
; Up to 20 header lines may be marked to be kept. They will appear in the
; message in the order in which they are specified here, regardless of the
; order in which they appeared in the original message.
;
Keep = From: ; keep "From:" line
Keep = Subject: ; keep "Subject:" line
;
; Highlight Character
; ===================
;
; If you like, CLEANQWK will flag each retained internet header line with
; a specified ASCII character in column 1 so that these lines will be
; highlighted in your reader as if they have been quoted.
; To enable this, specify "highlight=<number>", where <number> is the ASCII
; value (between 1 and 254) of the character you prefer.
; To disable highlighting, specify "highlight=0".
;
Highlight = 175 ; default: highlight character is 175 ("»")
;
; Aliases
; =======
;
; Provided that Ndxfiles is set to Yes, you can specify up to 20 "aliases"
; to be considered as personal messages. This is useful if you use any
; aliases yourself, or if you want all messages to or from some "special
; person" to be considered as personal.
;
; Each "alias" is specified as one line, of the form:-
; Alias = <name>
;
; There are no default aliases. If no .NDX files are to be created, then
; all aliases are ignored.
;
;
; Readdressing Messages
; =====================
;
; A few offline readers (notably Speed Read) totally ignore the Personal
; index in the packet, and generate their own, which means that the
; "Alias" feature of CLEANQWK gets ignored.
;
; If you find that this is happening, then you can tell CLEANQWK to
; readdress all "Alias" messages to you directly, and add a line to the
; top of each such message indicating the original addressee.
;
; To enable this option, specify "Readdress=Yes".
;
Readdress = No ; default: reader will believe CLEANQWK
;
; Messages addressed to "ALL"
; ===========================
;
; If messages addressed to "ALL" in specific conferences are of major
; interest, these can be readdressed to the conference name as it appears
; on the BBS. These messages can then be brought into your personal
; conference by means of the "Alias" statement described above, using the
; conference name as the alias, eg "Alias=Main Board"
;
; To enable readdressing messages to "All", specify "All2Conf=Y(es)"
;
All2Conf = No
;
; Twits
; =====
;
; Every board has its collection of idiots who write large numbers of stupid
; messages. CLEANQWK can eliminate the irritation of reading their rubbish
; by eliminating all messages from them, as well as all messages addressed
; to these individuals.
;
; A maximum of 20 "twits" can be defined.
;
Twit = Paved Roads ; There are no default twits in the program,
Twit = Grass Hopper ; but here are a couple of examples
